Coach Mama
Coach Mama joins us from Barlett High School!  We are so excited that she has joined our staff.  She brings a wealth of knowledge about the game as well as a passion for coaching.
Coach Sandi
Coach Sandi is one of our new coaches this year! We are thrilled to have her join our coaching ranks. She was a setter in college and brings great experience to the court. Sandi is able to teach her athletes not only about the physical part of the game, but how to stay mentally focused and calm. We are so excited to have her with us!
Coach Lynette

Coach Lynette joins us for a  second season.  She is such a great example of hard work and dedication to the game.  She is constantly pushing herself to learn about the ever-changing game of volleyball.  We love her abliity to have fun but also work.

Coach Andria
Coach Holbrook is new to Alaska.  She has brought with her enthusiasm and a passion for the game and we feel blessed to have her.  This past year, she was and assistant to Chugiak's C1 team.  Before moving to Alaska, Coach Holbrook coached in Japan.  She was an assistant coach for the Shisa Volleyball Club for 2 years.  In addition to coaching club, she was a JV coach for Kubasaki High School for one season and an assistant varsity coach for three seasons.  We are thrilled to have Coach Holbrook as a part of our Inspire Staff!
Coach Okonek
Coach Chelsie brings amazing energy and positivity with her wherever she goes!  She is a great example to our athletes and is able to communicate with all levels.  Coach Chelsie is a graduate of Chugiak High School.  Currently, she lives in town with her husband where they run their own fitness business.  We are so happy to have Coach Chelsie!
Coach Briana Theis (Board Member)
Coach Theis is a lifelong Alaskan who loves to give back to our awesome community.  She was a setter for the College of the Southern States and is an expert in setting and defense.  She as been a volleyball coach for 15+ years and has experience coaching from ages 5 to 18.  She is currently the JV Coach at Chugiak High School.  In the private sector, Briana helps run her family's business, Jitters and is a awesome cross fit coach for Iron Refined.  Briana lives in Eagle River, Alaska where she works and raises her three amazing kids.  We are so grateful to have Coach Theis in our program.  She knows what it takes to compete at a high level of volleyball and in fitness.  She has a passion for the game and for our community!  We are blessed to have her and her level of experience!

Amy Mestas

Coach Amy is a lifelong Alaskan, entering her 4th year as the head coach for the South Wolverines and 14th year overall for ASD.  Last year she was awarded the Coach of the Year for the Cook Inlet Conference.  She brings a passion to the game and an ability to create strong players, mentally and physically.  Coach Mestas was a setter and defensive specialist at the Illinois Institute of Technology. She is currently a structural engineer for PDC engineering, where she was just awarded the engineer of the year award for the state of AK.

Brad Houser
Coach Brad recently moved to Alaska. He comes to us with over of 25 years of club coaching experience. His teams have won state (high school), regional (club), and district (school) championships, as well as competed at the USA national championships for both girls and boys divisions. Brad’s teams have produced countless scholarship players and professional international players throughout the years. Brad has coached all levels from college down to junior high.

 

Bobbi Mason
Coach Bobbi is entering her 7th year as the head coach for the Chugiak Mustangs, her 15th year overall as a head coach in ASD.  She brings energy to the court and a desire for her players to be working to the potential.  Coach Mason was an outside hitter and defensive specialist for UAA and graduated with a BA in Physical Education.  She was an award winning PE teacher before leaving to raise her now family of four. She holds numerous certificates in the fitness industry and currently works as a fitness instructor for the Alaska Club.

 

 

Katie Oxspring
In her first season as head coach at Wasilla High School, they brought home a region championship, which hadn’t been done in 17 years, and was the NLC Coach of the year. She brings with her 13 years of coaching experience from Arizona, as well as playing NJCAA D1 at Yavapai College, graduating from Arizona University.  Katie moved to Alaska in 2015, and has a huge passion for volleyball, and wants to bring the knowledge she has from growing up in a volleyball state to Alaaka
